Cygnet Theatre Announces The Cast and Creative Team of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!
A fresh twist on the timeless tale of romance and rivalry.

SAN DIEGO, CA – (May 9, 2025) – Cygnet Theatre proudly presents the classic American musical Oklahoma! by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. Directed by Sean Murray, the production will run from June 11 to July 27, 2025 at Cygnet Theatre and will be the final Cygnet production show in Old Town. Opening night for media is Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 7:00 PM (Pacific Time).

This captivating story follows the charming romance between cowboy Curly McLain and farm girl Laurey Williams, while the menacing farmhand Judd Fry complicates their love. As the community prepares for statehood, personal dreams and rivalries intertwine with the broader themes of hope, resilience, and unity. With unforgettable songs like “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’” and “People Will Say We’re in Love,” Oklahoma! vividly captures the joys and challenges of frontier life. Whether you’re revisiting this classic or discovering it for the first time, Oklahoma! promises a delightful and unforgettable theatrical experience.

The cast features Michael Louis Cusimano (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812)) as Curly McClain; Ariella Kvashny (Evita) as Laurey Williams; Jacob Caltrider (The Rocky Horror Show) as Judd Fry; Eli Wood (A Christmas Carol) as Will Parker; Jazley Genovese as Ado Annie; Ricky Bulda as Ali Hakim; Marc Caro-Wilcox as Ike Skidmore/Ensemble; Manny Fernandes (El Huracan) as Andrew Carnes; Linda Libby (Gypsy) as Aunt Eller; Olivia Mitchell as Ellen/Ensemble; Paul Morgavo as Cord Elam; Tamara Rodriguez as Gertie Cummings; Amy Smith as Kate/Ensemble; and Jaxon Smith as Fred/Ensemble.
In addition to direction by Sean Murray, the creative team for Cygnet’s production of Oklahoma! includes: choreography by Jill Gorrie; music direction by Patrick Marion; fight choreography by Jordan Miller, scenic design by Mathys Herbert, sound design by TJ Fucella, lighting design by Anne E. McMills, props design by Jessica Cuoto, costume design by Zoë Trautmann, and wig/make up design by Peter Herman. Matthew Bantock is the Production Stage Manager and the Assistant Director is Jesse Marchese.
